Why we made it
Choosing a fragrance is harder than it should be. Reviews are scattered across forums and videos, prices swing from store to store, and fake bottles are common on marketplaces. We wanted one place that answers the questions people actually ask: is it any good, when should I wear it, how long does it last, and where can I buy a real bottle.
The tier list started as our own ranking of long-lasting fragrances. It grew into a catalog of more than 75,000 fragrances so you can look up almost anything and build a list of your own.
What it's for
- Finding your next fragrance. Filter by season, occasion, longevity, price and style, then sort by rating or popularity.
- Ranking your collection. Make an overall tier list and one for each season, from S+ down to F.
- Buying with confidence. Every fragrance lists where to buy it, official stores first, with a trust rating on each.
- Sharing. Send your list to a friend with one link.
How to use it
- Open the Tier List to see our ranking. Pick Overall or a season at the top of the list.
- Drag any fragrance to a different tier, or select it and choose a tier in its details. Your changes are saved in this browser.
- Use Browse to search the full catalog. Select any fragrance for its notes, longevity, community rating and where to buy it. You can add it to your tier list from there.
- Press Copy share link to share the list you're looking at.
How we rate stores
Each fragrance lists stores from most to least trusted. We only list stores with a long record of selling genuine fragrances.
- 5/5 Official
- The fragrance house's own website. Always genuine, the freshest stock and the full brand warranty, usually at full price.
- 5/5 Authorized retailer
- Department stores and beauty chains such as Sephora, Nordstrom and Saks that buy directly from the brands. Genuine, with easy returns.
- 4/5 Trusted discounter
- Long-running discount stores such as Jomashop and FragranceX. Their bottles are genuine and often well below retail, but they buy outside the brands' own channels, so the brand's warranty may not apply and batches can be older.
We deliberately leave out auction sites, marketplace sellers, social media sellers and unknown websites, because that is where most counterfeits are sold. If a price looks far too good to be true, it usually is.
Prices on this site are approximate US retail for a full bottle and are for our hand-ranked picks only. Stores change prices often, so check the store's page for today's price. We are not paid by any store we link to.
Where the information comes from
Our rankings are opinion. Bottle photos, notes, accords, longevity votes and community ratings come from Fragrantica and Parfumo, through public datasets. Seasons and occasions for fragrances outside our hand-ranked picks are estimated from their main accords.
